These are certified and stronger than steel. If they test and say not good enough I will ask him politely to bend over and I'll to the toe to tale test proven to be very effective HEHE
-
Whatever. Let me know how it works out for you in the real world.
-
- Steel toe: The steel toe is made of steel and meets or exceeds the ASTM Standards for compression and impact testing of I-75/C75.
- Composite Toe: A non-metallic safety toe for environments where steel is not allowed or appropriate. Not as cold in cooler temps and meets or exceeds the ASTM Standards for compression and impact testing of I-75/C75.
- Aluminum Toe: Weighs less than steel toes and meets or exceeds the ASTM Standards for compression and impact testing of I-75/C75.
- Carbon Composite Toe: Carbon fiber construction keeps weight at a minimum while maintaining strength and meets or exceeds the ASTM Standards for compression and impact testing of I-75/C75.MJ1657 Thanks this. -
I think you're missing the point. In many places the requirement is "Steel Toe" and they check it with a magnet. Your Gee-Whiz Ceramic boots or whatever they are will fail the test.
On the other hand, it's always fun to watch a newbie driver take on the customer's safety department, especially if my company is competing with his for loads.
Do what you have to do. -
I would turn around and leave if someone needed to put a magnet on my boots.milskired Thanks this.

Agreed.
Especially when it meets or exceeds the ASTM Standards for compression and impact testing of I-75/C75. -
I always asked the place that said I had to have a pair of steel toe boots if they were paying for my boots or giving me a uniform stipen or discount. I was always looked at and told to go ahead.
