    Hey there.

I'll be driving a run from Macklin, Sk to Dawson Creek. Can anyone here tell me If this is a hard run on fuel? I'm not running into any mountain driving am I?
Is this a constant drive uphill? Furthest I've been is Grande Prairie. Anything northwest of that will be new to us.
Oh! And Hey CbarM, it was good to meet you and that great looking truck you have!

No different to Dawson than from white court to gp. Maybe easier.

So, I don't actually go through any mountain stuff?:biggrin_25519: No superhard hills that will kill my fuel? I appreciate knowing what I'll run into....
    I've never been to BC.

No real hard pulls, just rolling hills. It's only about an hour from gp but there is one scale that's pretty picky from what I hear just on the Alberta border.

    Sarabeara Thanks this.

Only when it's open but the scale at Pouce Coupe is open at times and at 80 miles an hour it only takes an hour from GP to DC. lol

It's all flat prairie to Dawson. You should go around GP, I use #672, some use #59. Pouce & Dawson scales are never open, Demmitt when open is no trouble.

That's the #672, guys swear it's quicker using #59 through Sexsmith.

I go through Rycroft then Bay Tree by way of 733; you can either go north through Wanham (although there is a looooong pull), or turn onto 674 through Teepee Creek. No scales :) (except the self-weigh/temporary ones at Rycroft corner and Bay Tree). And, you miss the rest of what is quite possibly THE worst highway in Alberta... 43 (it's got me beat half-to-death). A wee bit longer, but definitely my preferred route unless I have a reason to stop in GP.

You can also go through Slave Lake; (going from memory) another 30-45 minutes longer, but way fewer hills.
