I was wandering if you guys had any ideas of a place that would take a long time driver with no experience in flatbedding? I'm not going to any mega carriers so please don't post those. just a thought thanks in advance.

Lots of local flatbed companies in all areas of the country looking for drivers. As for experience? Any company will require some sort of experience hauling F.B. I have 6 months doing it and you can have it. I suggest contacting those in your area and asking what sort of experience they need (if not posted on their job site), or if they offer scratch training. Some do ... it's how I learned.

Might want to let people know where you're at.

Chinatown will probably see this and give you some ideas.

Where you out of driver? TMC is still a decent company their a bit of a mega, Boyd brothers, Maveric, FCC, hunt (Crete). Flat bedding even with no experience isn't as hard as people think. I had no formal training just went out and started doing it never lost a load. Its all pretty much common sense when it comes to securement. Helps to know what part of the country you are in though.

If I was with Crete, I would see about switching over to Hunt Transport. I'm sure they would take you in without hesitation.

these are good ideas about hunt but as me and crete begin to end our time together id like to move on. I'm out of Moore, OK just south of OKC. I found a place called RCS Transport and I chatted with the owner for a few minutes seems all well and dandy. quick run down. New trucks, 40-50 ppl in his company. He will teach me no schooling or trainers trucks. They run from monroe, LA up to somewhere in Virginia back and forth. he said he could get me home when i needed to back in oklahoma and the money doesnt sound bad. its somewhere around 2500 every two weeks seems reasonable. Even though i make more than that now i believe its time to change the name on the side of the door.
