I have read all the Werner forums and cannot find much info regarding teams?

Recruiter says It pays better and my thinking is if this is a company that most rookies leave after 1 yr or so w
wouldnt it be more to ones advanatage to make as much money as possible and to gain as many miles for experience
    purposes?

Obviously much depends on partner and finding the right one, I've heard that is the hardest part.

My other concern is putting my life in someone else's hands for half of the day, again I want to learn and hopefully my
partner isn't a rookie also, I heard this happens sometimes.

I realize when training I will be doing all the PTI'S, fueling, windshield cleaning, showers second, etc and I have
no problem with, paying ones dues, right of passage, I understand and agree with it.

If a trainer and trainee hit It off, will the trainer team up with trainee? Or is it just not as lucritive to
give up trainer position? I will be living in Bend, Oregon as of 15th of July, (smoker) family
knows I'll be out for a lengthy stretches.

I will be attending orientation Aug 12th in Fontana Ca

If looking for a partner keep me In mind

    Pls advise a rookie

System Transport headquartered in Spokane, WA hires new CDL grads and pays teams .50 cpm split, plus the trucks have APU's. Check the trans-system website.

im an ex team werner driver, it's gonna be though the pay is not fair but you can make a little bit of money but you work too hard for it here what i mean team werner 0.34 cpm you split it each of you guy will get 0.17 cpm everytime the truck is moving it doesn't matter who is driving you will need 6000 miles to average 1020$ before taxes that means you gonna have to drive at least 500 miles a day, im happy i did the teaming experience with werner but i will never ever do it again, it is a small room that you are going to share with someone that you don't even know plus you will be sleeping when he is driving. I would advise you to go solo to save your life and be home more often for your family because they need you, good luck.

If you re looking to go teaming, there are several better companies to try starting out teaming. I know Schneider will try to find you a team partner that lives close to you and will match you up on preferences if you can t find a team partner

Are you willing to drive for a little over 15 cents per mile?Werner pays 34 cpm split for a team operation. That for most companies is the standard pay for solo drivers,34 cpm.But Werner is the exception because they are the lowest paid company there is.

Spoke to recruiter at Systems Transportand he was great.

Sent In all apps via fax and email

He said he has a partner In mind for me and set up tenative aug 5th orientation.

Werner recruiter is going to call tomorrow and I was going to say I've that I have made
a decision to go in another direction without giving name. I assume he will be dissappointed, possibly
angry? Am I saying the right thing, advise

    Thanx

Tell Wiener that you got a better offer about the pay and leave it with that.

Just tell them you are not interested anymore because you have a family issue and leave it like that instead of tell them you have a better offer from another company that would make them mad and put you in as a non hire in their list, Schneider did that to me and i didn't care about it/
