My friend who works with me says all companies are required to be on E-logs and all tractors will be required to have trolley bars. I say no on E-logs for all as I recall reading somewhere that companies with a satisfactory or better rating do not. Regarding the requirement all tractors must have trolley bars is something I say is BS. Companies like CR England, and CRST do not equip their truck with this feature. Can anyone provide proof on who's right. Thanks for all help.

EOBRs are not yet required.
I've not seen any future requirement for johnnie bars either. -
Sub is right on the money....Johnny bars are optional and so are Elogs at this time........

There's always going to be misinformation.
volvodriver01 Thanks this. -
Just stinks when it gets posted on here and then guys start believing it to be true.

To the op I would suggest having your buddy show you proof instead since its not true he will never have it to prove.

MAP-21 was passed by congress and signed into law on 7/6/12, and took effect on 10/1/12. Part of the law requires the FMCSA to create a rule at some point this year to require on board recorders in trucks.

It's only a matter of time before the mandate for EOBR's goes into effect. Keep dreaming and hoping Volvodriver01. The handwriting is on the wall. -
