I believe the 780 has 150 gal tanks, pretty sure thats what my mentor told me who has a 780.

I really like this prostar, it handled way better than that volvo, more comfortable, took the hills better, shifts better and I can float it better, I also really like having all the controls on the steering wheel.
Got 8.6mpg on this run so far from lake Havasu to near Gallup and thats including climbing some of those hills. I dont want to go back to the volvo now, at least the one I had.

Single bunk volvos are junk I hated mine. I got this one and its a world of difference between the two. This one rides alot better handles better. Etc I would own a volvo tho. You do some research and apparently the volvos with the cummins are electrical nightmares.

Back 8 or 9 years ago Swift had a lot of those Volvos that had electrical problems. The "Ghosts" were always messing with something on them. You could be driving down the road and the passenger window would roll down, or the wipers would come on by themselves. The worst was that the highbeams would come on and blind traffic approaching you or passing you. You could go months without any of them happening, then they all might happen at the same time. The last 3 Volvos I have been in were "Ghost" free.

knock on wood this one's been ghost free so far. The one I liked the best was the speedometer bouncing to 20 mph while I was parked it. It did it more after a good rain. I would wake up and start the truck and the speedometer would go ballistic

yeah this one has a problem with the door seal, right now I can look past it, I will lose this truck once I go home in the end of August anyway since I plan on taking 5 days for my anniversary

I love my ProStar (2010 Cummins). Yeah, it has its issues, but what truck doesn't! I still pass Volvos on hills (grin).

    220gal tanks, avg 8mpg.
It is heavy, needs <1/2 fuel for >44k loads. I run west and canada, so keep my 5th wheel a couple notches forward, 12,500 on steers (only allowed 12,000 in east).
I set my cellphone timer for 4 min to catch the interrupt idle light.
8mpg at 8lbs/gal fuel = 1 pound per mile, useful depending on distance to DOT/MOT scale.
Walmart/Camping World have 'refrigerator' tension bars. The longer ones hold a small blanket (or towel) against the door nicely to block cold winter winds coming thru handle.
Scale with an empty trailer for reference. Note fuel level when you do.

    capthook Thanks this.
