SNI may have wanted it, but I didn't take 30 min breaks. I don't drive long distances, mostly short haul, so I "stop" a few times a day anyways, but I am still on duty dropping and hooking and such, so I usually don't stop and go "off duty" really at all during the day. It doesn't make me "work more" it makes me work "longer" IE my day ends later than it normally does because of it.

It makes you wait another 30 minutes longer till you can get your day done just like Jake said. I take breaks throughout the day, just not thirty minutes at a time. So if 600 miles takes me say 10.5 hours to drive in June will now take me 11 because I had to stop and sit for no reason. That is thirty minutes later to get to sleep. That is 11 hours actual time not line 3 time. So I actually have to stay awake another thirty minutes, I feel safer already.

I was in the sleeper for 34hrs but didnt get a fresh 70 cause i didnt have two periods of 1-5 am, this is bull crap!
-
You weren't able to run off your recap?!

Im running off recap, the only reason i was n the sleeper so long cause i was waiting for my load, pre loaded trailer. Im just saying if this rule wasn't n effect I have a fresh 70DrtyDiesel Thanks this.

So instead of multiple breaks take 2 breaks and make one that equal 30 mins. You'll spend at least 30-40 at a fuel stop depending on time of day. there's your break.

Where have you been fueling? It's 8 minutes on duty time to fuel and maybe 10 minutes off to grab something to eat and get back on the road.
I only take about two breaks a day to begin with so yea 30 minutes later till I can call it quits. -
Depending on time of day a lot of our pilots are a zoo.

Also fueling can't count on the off duty time . I bet fuel receipts get a lot of drivers busted in audits . Auditors check fuel card invoices .
