Picked up my nice 9K load and on my way to CA. Here in Cameron, MO. Yes, I know, I am OOR. Going 90 miles OOR. Reasons,
    1. Not going over 70 east of Denver to get 15 in UT, especially on the weekend
    2. Less Fuel
    3. Less HOS used.

    scottied67 Thanks this.

sitting at the flying j in Aurora, CO
Went and got the load, guess the guy was having brake issues with his tractor and was parked in the middle of bum ##### Egypt, got here and decided to shut it down so I can eat and get a shower, this load was supposed to deliver at 16:00 today but that was impossible so they rescheduled for Monday, I called DM on duty when I got here to see about getting it tcalled in the morning since im not going to sit on a 500 mile load for 3 days, he said he would message the planners and let them know I helped out with the repower but want a tcall. I have not heard anything yet so will be calling first thing in the morning if I dont wake up to a message on the QC. Having such a late start in the week I only have 1500 miles so far and thats if this load gets tcalled, if they refuse then im stuck with 1k miles and that will piss me off. I hope they give me a load I can deliver by Sunday afternoon or evening so I can have 2k+ miles and hope next week is much better. I can easily drive 3500 miles a week if they would plan me better.

I love that J in Aurora, CO.
Too crowded, too tight - all the time.

I'm in CA near Los Banos on I-5 at a little truck stop.
I went round and round with the planners on my previous next load going to SLC because I couldn't pick it up within the shippers weekend hours.
Now I am headed for the TA in Wheeler Ridge, CA. I'm being repositioned.

The comments in the load assignment sounds ominous - "...be safe, have fun, thanks for helping."
Makes me wonder what I am 'helping' with.

when i went to denver terminal the othe day, was folling another swift truck onto smith rd. made that left that goes by walmart and see that truck run a red light. theres just one light hanging right after the left turn. told him at the fuel island and he said he didn't see it. lucky for him cross traffic had stopped.

I took the final directions slow to the terminal since its unfamiliar territory to me, got my load tcalled and they just sent me a load offering going 271 miles and live unload on monday, I turned it down and its the first load I have declined because I didnt want it. Was 44k beer load and im also full on fuel so might be iffy scaling it, I should of turned down the fuel route and kept on a 1/4 tank until after getting a load but ohwell. I dont want a crap 271 mile load I have to sit on, thats why I tcalled the other so I can actually drive this weekend...

if i know its gonna be a heavy load, i get loaded first, then fuel. they had me fill up at last fuelstop in slc ut. said no way. i was 33800 on drives with 1/2 tank. just put in 50 gal. and that should be plenty for tomorrows run
