Forgot to mention something to my recruiter!!

If you only have a fine to pay, and all the legal matters have been handled, I don't see an issue. I assume you missed the date and then received a notice that you must answer for the failure to appear. If you did so, received your penalty, then made an agreement to pay by x date, then the matter is settled.

Additionally, if you satisfied the original ticket, and your record is clear, you shouldn't have any mvr issues coming. I would expect that the traffic matter is resolved, and that the criminal matter will be/is pending payment of fines at an agreed time.

Now, if you have a further court date, and/or the traffic matter remains unresolved, then yes, you may need to address it all beforehand to ensure your mvr doesn't change, making you a issue to the safety dept.

Having a payment agreement for a fine doesn't mean you haven't already received your sentence. It just means your local courts are flexible. Just be sure to pay as agreed.

 

Be very careful here. I forgot to tell Central a little detail once and they waited till I was in Harrisburg PA and told me to get my stuff off the truck, didn't pay the bus fare back to SLC. So I dodn't know how far your bus ride is to SL I assume its SL, so you had better disclose everything and get an email and print it out with recruiters name if they say it's okay. Better yet have them send you a letter thats been stamped by a notary public. Too many stories here of people being sent home for things like this from these mega carriers. I got a prehire out of a driving school so I thought everthing was fine.They have a investigator there and he was a little slow in checking out some little details and bit me in the ### after I was already hired on.

you WERE charged with FTA. that's why you have the fine. that'll probably drop once you pay the fine.

i've never worked for a mega. but my guess would be they won't accept you with outstanding tickets and fines. basically, becuase you won't be home to take care of your business. and they don't want to deal with the hassle of trying to get you home.

a lot of megas give you hometime. but getting you home on the date you actually requested. is a hard thing to do.

i can see this looking bad for you. but like i said, i've never worked for a mega.

 

So you kind of sort of just happen to forget to tell your recruiter huh..Certain things you just don't forget.Companies take longer then one day to check everything out.Recruiter asked abunch of questions yesterday and everything looks fine.Companies don't look everything up at the last minute then brings you in..Central will find out during orientation.This could be a red flag.They may think you delibrately forgot and they will ask whats the story on this.If I were you I would talk to your recruiter first thing in the morning and reschedual the following week,that is if Central will accept you.

 

Don't hold your breath.

 

I've been in this trucking game long enough to know recruiters are going to ask about your criminal/driving history a day or 2 after the application was received,not couple days before they bus you in.The pre hire process takes a week or longer.Because it has to go thru their safety an their insurance.They want the applicant to fax everything long beore they schedual you to come in.So in this case I doubt they looked at everything.So either tell your recruiter tomorrow or be prepared to possibly get sent home.

 

So you was suppose to go to court for a fix it ticket huh and did'nt know you had to go to court.I've had a few fix it tickets in my time an they gave me 24 hrs to fix it never had to appear in court,Was'nt their something on the ticket about the date and time you was suppose to appear in court and I would think the officer would have showed you where the ticket says that.
