Or just use the proper grease at regular intervals and eliminate all the problems.

Something else to tear up. Not to mention another thing for the DOT to make money off of. IE air leaks ,not adjusted properly etc
etc.Bayle Thanks this. -
I thought about this before. So if you get mad at a company just go around letting all the trailers hit the ground.

We had some air over hydraulic landing geared trailers at a prior...48' city trailers we used 'em for. Actually, very nice. Trailer dropped too low? Pull your air lines out and raise it. Trailer uneven? These had compensation built in and would level the trailer if the legs were on uneven surfaces. Forget what brand they were, and I haven't seen them since, but I really liked them.

UPS used to have them on their pup trailers, worked nice, just slow when it was really cold out.
-
Yeah or if there anything like the air operated tandem pin retractors on trailers then they won't work at all once it gets down to minus 30 and you will be cursing the day they were invented!
-
Had pneumatic landing gear on trash transfer trailers back in the 80s. They were great when they worked. Problem was they didn't work all the time.

I think they would be good but take it one step further make them fold up under the belly of the trailer so you get better fuel Econ
