How do you get hours back? I see it mentioned quite often. Me just being a part time driver I have never had to really worry about running out of hours for the week. When I do decide its time to make my move Im sure I have plenty to learn during my time with a trainer.

Look at your recap. Go back 7 days. The hours you worked on that 7th day is what you will get back after midnight, thus, working off your recap. For instance, last Monday when I left the house with a fresh 70 hours I worked 8.5 hours that day, after midnight tomorrow night I will get those 8.5 hours added back to my 70. The exception being I will be done with a 34 hour reset at 5am in the morning and get all my 70 hours back. If I wasn't doing a reset then I would just add the 8.5 hours to what I had left, in this case 16.5 hours. Hope this answers your question.

That is a good way to keep from getting tripped up with the new reg. By not taking a reset each week you will have some flexability when you finally do decide to take 1.JohnBoy Thanks this. -

Finally got empty about 1000 this morning, then I had to run over to the Ellenwood, Ga. yard and pick up a dropped trailer that had 8 more coolers and 1 other pallet on it. The coolers went back to the Wal-Mart I had just left. As I was pulling onto the job site the refrigeration guys were leaving for lunch. I backed into the dock and about that time the refrigeration guys drove around the corner. I told them they didn't have to come back on my account, but they said they were willing to put off lunch and get me unloaded first because I had helped them unload my first truck earlier. We knocked it out in about 20 minutes and I was off to Lawrenceville, Ga. to deliver the single pallet. Got empty and about the time I swept my trailer out and finished my paperwork my next load came across the computer. Picking up in Madison, Ga. Going back to HP in Chester, Va.. After dropping that tomorrow I should get something heading to the house. Be safe!
