Yep, It's been a few years since I left those crooks but If I remember correctly any o/o leasing to Prime has to have a very new rig, like only a couple years old, 240" or less wheelbase. There are strict weight requirements that vary by division-tanker, reefer or flatbed-I don't remember the exact numbers. Tanker o/o's must pay $5,000 up front for the hydraulic kit and in transit heat lines to be installed. And they will govern your truck at 65mph.

Like the others have said above, the only reasons a company like Prime will terminate your lease are typical reasons for losing any trucking job. Tickets, accidents, racking up CSA points, etc..

:biggrin_25523: Love how the minute they see the word LEASE they all go into NEGATIVE DEFENCE.

The OP asked about a truck he owns or will own OUTRIGHT not leasing it from a company.

He is looking to LEASE ON as an O/O , run under their authority .

To have a lease TERMINATED as an O/O is much the same as being terminated as a driver for most cases + the added things you can be faulted for as a O/O as RogueX noted.
