Probably make for a much stonger company. FFE already has tankers in the oilfields & probably will grow that segment according to the article Balakov posted.
mje Thanks this. -

That would be a foolish move. Oil field and crude segments are already saturated with players....lil short on drivers but plenty of players. Good way to get caught holding new iron with big notes and nothing to haul OR an over saturation will soften rates. ( EG: Prime entering food grade )
Rush Peterbuilt in Houston has 30 or so new units in a storage yard ( all painted and with logo's ) that will be going to work shortly....and that's just one example in one town...
Just one drivers opinion......... -
This is rather interesting, its a corporation buyout, and for the time being things will stay status quo.
But ffe is a strange company so I could see them dumping there refer division too try something new.
I say stay tune, same time and same bat channel. Things shall get interestingmje Thanks this. -
The reason was because FFE has an LTL division in which KLLM wanted to acquire. The wife and I team for the scheduled LTL run every week and the loads generate more income than regular truckload. For example, a truckload generates only one load which has one set price, as compared to several little loads that cost a little less, or if not the same shipping cost as a regular truckload. If it has multiple loads on it LTL, then they make more money than just one load, and boy do they make a killing at it. It kind of makes people wonder why last quarter, the company had a loss profit of 12 million dollars. I have some good ideas why, but now it doesn't matter really, because most of the office staff will probably get their walking papers anyway.
mje Thanks this.
