Just an example of "suggested routing". Picked up a load in Roaring River,NC going to Farmers Branch,TX, just N of Dallas. The sugg. route was going to send me west to/thru Boone,NC, then through the Cherokee National Forest on US321 towards Elizabethton,TN. Once there, I-26W to I-81S to I-40W to Little Rock, I'm sure you ALL know LittleRock!!(SORRY, but had to
)Then on to I-30W thru Texarkana to the Dallas-Ft.Worth area. OK if anyone has ever been along this route thru the Cherokee Ntnl Forest you know how steep and non truck-friendly it is!! I have done it numerous times, each time the truck would strain so bad it actually wanted to shut down more than once!! So last time I did it, I went back to I-77S from Roaring River, to Charlotte,NC, took I-85S twrds ATL,GA, then I-20W the ENTIRE way to the Dallas-Ft.Worth area. No strain to the truck, and OOR only 6%, but fuel saved would definately balance out the OOR. Lots to think about with that trip planning ya'll!!

I route myself as well. Every once in awhile I want a second opinion and will request routing, but sometimes I do not run their suggestion. Sometimes depending on where you are you have to cut thru the woods, but it can eat time.
-
Sometimes the shortest way isnt always the best way!

Tarheel--i see lots of maverick trucks in NC close to us--i dont think you will have issues getting a trainer or getting in/out of NC. I would go to maverick if they didnt only do flatbed!

was going to maverick, but when they told me my accident in april of 2007 kept me from going to them when the accident wasn't my fault don't want to defer nobody from going to maverick but you better do your research first don't want no bad response but like any company do ur research first

Hey all, been interested in Maverick but have heard some stories that they are backed up with folks waiting for trainers. Can anyone explain if this is true or just a bunch of bull. Myself, I dont want the specialized division and cannot afford to wait several months for an opening in the us division. I know several folks in my area drive for them and they like it. So if anyone can shed some light on this subject, then please do so. Thanks.

So what's the bountey now days? Still giving away Harleys? Claim you are clueless? Well FYI,Not only is this Maverick outfit not what it(began) inspired to be,But to the contrary has become what it(before lost) detested..
-
Once again I have no clue what you are talking about??????
-
HUH? I would have worded that so someone could understand it.
I don't work there, but when I was curious and looking into pillin' skateboards, I talked to several Mav Drivers. Everyone of them liked the outfit and said they were staying there.
