I drive up and down I-5 on a daily basis and I can tell you that most of the trucks I see should be getting tickets or there cdl pulled in some cases. Following to close on snow covered grades- cutting in and out of traffic- taking 2 long to complete passing maneuvers like doing 1 or 2 mph more then the truck you are passing so there is a long line of 4 wheelers waiting for you to get out of the way. And my number one pet peeve doing 25 or 30 going up a hill in the passing lane.
I was driving up to Seattle with a class 6 hazmat load from Albany Or at about 3am a couple of days ago in wet and rainy conditions and their were trucks doing 65-70mph in a state with a speed limit of 55 swamping the windshields of everyone they passed.
Professional drivers? don't see many of those anymore, no matter what company they work for.

Have you checked the spelling on other weaving bobbing trucks or is it the big blue letters only your focusing on....do a spell check

This forum makes me sad. It seems no different than the CB i enjoyed growing up, only to come into this business to hear nothing but bashing Swift every chance they get. Id rather do the speed limit or under it and not worry about cops than have the CB on listening to your crap.
I had a truck almost run me off the road in Arkansas the other day. Came across my lane going 80 in a 65 and almost put me into a ditch that could have easliy killed me and my wife. I turned on the cb and scremed "what was that?!"...and got a response "i had the hammer down and didnt see you there..haha"
it amazes me how quickly people are to judge everyone else these days. The days my grandpa and my father drove are FAR from gone. There is no brotherhood, there is no friendliness. Im more scared of getting robbed at a truck stop now when i go piss than i am of driving.
Guess what, we were all newbies once, scared and nervous. We all started somewhere. The thing that gets me the most is that YOU would judge ME as a Swift driver over what some other irresponsible driver does.
We have the same Logo, not the same habits, skills, and responsibilities. One bad apple doesnt have to spoil the whole bunch -
Brad Thanks for the service you are a great american
VinBea Thanks this. -
spiegelsteven and VinBea Thank this.

Well said, Brad. And I bet that truck wasn't a Swift truck. LOL -
Well, to be fair, Swift has gone to some great lengths to clean up their act.
Do they have a long way to go? Perhaps, but let's give credit where it's due.
Swift's Houston, TX terminal manager is a member here in good standing, and his behavior here on this forum is proof enough to me that there are at least some honorable people working there.VinBea Thanks this. -
Your serious aren't you? I mean, I know how to run 2 logs... I don't anymore though. I don't have anything against swift or any of the other big companies. They're huge and apparently people still drive for them.. so they did something half right at least.
I'm guilty of running long hours, I've done some under the radar stuff before. I was taught how to get away with alot of things. Not anymore. -
I just ignore the CB comments, its only made to get a response and start discord and get folks arguing. If enough of us Swift drivers will act responsibly, it will go a long way to improving our image and the image of the American Trucker. Having Jerry back will help clean some things up as well.
