Appearantly you haven't been to too many co's...there's more co's than I could list worst than Landstar.
-
thats quite insightful.
Lonesome and landstar8891 Thank this. -
How about you explain why Landstar is the worst instead of pointing out the obvious.
-
He didn't mention the part where he was only there 2 weeks...

Actually I have been or was with Landstar 15 years and I never had a hassle with them because I did a very good job. I paid Landstar a percentage of my gross to do what an office would do if I had my own authority. I PAID them to bill customers, etc.
I Paid for Landstar Legal Department and I had my insurance reinsured by Landstar through Gallegher.
Now I have a claim I am trying to settle with Gallagher Insurance. But..Landstar Legal Department is representing Gallagher. Landstar BCO's are paying Landstar Legal Department to defend Gallagher. Who does Landstar represent?
I have a question for any BCO who has a Landstar Contract. If any of you have a signature page of that contract, can you tell me if it is signed by a Corporate officer?
I read an article recently about Landstar Stock and Profits
Landstar makes record breaking profit. 1% of their profit comes from reinsuring.
Risk Management, Landstar's reinsurers is wholly offshore
Landstar has no assets
Landstar has the lowest Office Worker to driver ratio in the industry. That is the BCO's office where Landstar is making record breaking profits by cutting staff.
I paid Landstar to do a job, for me, not make record breaking profits and have switch board operators who connect you with Supervisors, Vice Presidents and Executives of this or that who are always out to lunch.Last edited: Jul 17, 2013
truckfam and landstar8891 Thank this. -
How so? Landstar has been pretty good to us. We even took a dedicated run. That's been a bit dodgy, but we'll give it 90 days. If it doesn't work, we can always make a jump. What's your problem?
-
Yep, We paid Gallagher. They were part of AIG. When we were with CRST, I cut them off. I don't have a choice with LS. We should track down Landstar's insurers and protect ourselves.

You have been pretty good to Landstar. If you are surviving, you are hard working, truck savvy and could make a go of it in any trucking company.
What many drivers are starting to ask is "Is Landstar good to the BCO's"
You are paying Landstar to do what an office would do if you had your own authority. You are paying Landstar to do a job. Is Landstar performing that job as well as you are performing yours? Or is Landstar skimming for record breaking profits?Last edited: Jul 17, 2013

Oh, Landstar said that I have a choice. Every BCO should check their insurance. If you wait until you need the coverage..it may be too latelandstar8891 Thanks this.
