Correct. Slip seating is grabbing whatever truck is available when you report for duty so you remove all your stuff when you go home. Armellini used to team you up with whomever was available for that run too.

Ok well that kinda of stinks. Guess I'll have to make the best of it. I wasn't really planning on leaving any of my stuff in the truck when I went home but then again if me & my partner wanted to go half's on things such as a fridge or xm radio or something then it wouldn't work :-(

That was what they did in 2009 when I explored my FL options. I don't know if that is the way it is now. Correct me if I'm wrong, but they just go out and back to pick up the next load of flowers right?

The only shower I refused to use was in Birmingham, Al at the TA. There was black mold everywhere there should have been grout. Never had an issue with the towels they provide. If you do get a questionable towel it is very easy to exchange it for another. Most places will even give you 2 towels if you ask.

i carry my own towels i don't always use them though. use my discretion on that. also some small places mom and pop type truck stops sometimes don't provide towels. on the other hand a lot of times these places are 5 bucks for a shower vrs the norm 10-13. there is a couple other places i shower at from time to time that are free but require your own towels shower shoes and bottle of bleach...lol

I'd bring your own towels and wash cloth. I've actually witness guys cleaning the toilet with the towels left in the showers.. now they do wash and dry them, but come on... hello, bacteria MUST still be on them even after that...

With this said, I've even run across some hidden gems in not very likely places... I once took a shower in a Pilot(of all places) in Missouri, where this older gentleman was doing the cleaning... Hell, he cleaned it like it was a shower at his home... not a stitch of mildew, and the towels looked great. I left him a $6 and some change tip after that one... He was even right there waiting to clean it when I came out... Told him he did the best job I've seen in years and there was something for him in there... He smiled and said thank you!

The rest areas on the Ohio Turnpike have free showers for truckers but they do not provide towels/wash clothes. Otherwise every truckstop shower big or small provided towels/wash clothes. As to footwear, I have never used flip flops in them and have never had a problem. My feet get baked daily in my work boots, so washing my feet daily is necessary. I just use their floor towel (Pilot/Flying J) to shuffle around outside the shower afterwards until I get my feet powdered and socks on.
