1. You can drive to orientation (at least Green Bay) - park at the hotel that way you can go for food after class
2. You can use an inverter - 300 watt max --- and you can get 12 volt appliances (including cooler) to cook
3. I've always been able to idle my truck when it was too hot or too cold --- it only kicks off when neither is needed then you have the bunk heater /A/C to make up the few degrees (which I rarely need since I can idle if the temp is too hot / cold)
4. Yes there are female trainers (mine was great! - I'm female) if female /male then Schneider requires a motel every night you are out with trainer (taking turns in room and in truck)
5. NYC George Washington Bridge - worst dock was in Houston where the dock was tight, had to maneuver so you did not blindside in, and the employees parked across from the dock where the other dock would have been - inches from cars
6. I chose Schneider and I'm at the end of my second month driving OTR (solo) and I have no complaints - they've been great!
A few questions

what hours does dbl's work?

So, Schneider doesn't object to idling if needed. Do you get penalize for fuel use during idling? And are there areas that idling isn't permitted?

A lot of states n cities ban idling more then 5mins unless u have a pet. U can idle till temp drops below 70. Depending on your bonus numbers say 20% as long u stay below your fine go above 20% you start loosing bonus points.
