Mercedes Actros sighting in Oregon

How can I buy and use an actros or axor here in the US? I've been wanting one for years.

 

Easy.
Buy one in Europe,EURO 6,it is the same engine as a Freightliner(Detroit Diesel)
The only thing will be that it runs on 24v instead off 12v.
Contact US Customs on how to import it.

Lol, then no oon the axor, but I have to have an actros!! I want the one with the V8 diesel, tandem axle, megacab... Any idea how much they are? I don't even care if its used (no older than 06, prefer 08). Are there any online dealerships so I don't have to physically go to Europe to order one? Lol.

 

There are dealers that sell online and arrange transport to the docks.
If you want i can post them or pm them.

But before you order.........have a chat with US Customs.
There are rules in place for truckimport.

And forget getting a good deal on twinscrews.
They are very expensive on the secondhandmarket.(new you can get a deal)
Twinsteers are much better in price and weight.

Know itsnot Actros..
Don't really know the difference.

But wouldn't have to worry about Customs.

 

The big difference is space in the cab , ride quality , viability , safety with the Actros being a league ahead.
The Agosy is lighter , simpler and cheaper.

 

Argosy is simple and brutal like AK47

Actros is really cool truck

Only a few electrical problems on the Argosy on bad muddy roads but things a driver who knows the truck can sort out.No need for computer hook up.

As for comparing it to an AK47 , we will give it another 30 years and see if the Chinese start making reliable knock offs or if it makes it on to a countries flag like the AK .
Then we will have a true legend.
