Oh man Preffered freezer? Oh dude! that place is good no worries man. getting there is gonna be easy and getting to the facility is easy and the docks are easy to back into man. no worries. my first time i went there i went to the wrong place. i got stuck in between like a pole and the fence omg what a nightmare for me. i ended up backing up and fixing my self up thank God! But ya man its a good place. and they usually unload fast as frick. i went and was out within 15 min but i only had 8 pallets.

I'm headed there Monday morningas well, You may want to avoid going too early. I spoke to them, and their yard is gated over the weekend, and I'm not sure when they unlock it. Anyone else know?

This is definately a good idea though not entirely true. If payroll fails to receive a receipt on a Comcheck, they usually can verify who received the Comcheck when it clears the bank. This means you should still be able to be reimbursed, but up to a month later or maybe longer.

Obviously the first best plan is to CYA with a copy. But, if for some reason that doesn't happen you should still pursue it with Payroll.

Yes, you could wait a month or more, pestering your payroll clerk ( someone you really want to want to help you ) or just make copies. When I was OTR, I carried a cheap printer/copier on the truck with me and made copies of bills, receipts. Now as Lady K mentioned, you can use software on your laptop to scan and send documents directly. If I was still OTR, I would be doing that now.

Yep. My intention was not to offer an alternative as to the way things 'should' be done, rather if someone did mess up I didn't want them to be out money for failing to pursue an alternative.

Well, after my 10 hr break tonight, I would end up getting there an hr late. so they are having someone repower it. Got re preset right away with 2 loads.
the second one goes to alabama. I sent a freefrom saying, "Is Alabama a midwest state? Or is that part of the 'midwest' fleet?" He said, I couldnt answer that.

Doesnt bother me any, 860 miles, at .41 cpm, not bad in 2 days. But I have a feeling my DM will pull it from me Monday when he comes in. They did that before, preset me a load going to atlanta, then I got unassigned from it. We'll see.

Edit: Talked to the guy who repowered my load, he said both of the loads I got were his, and he is on general fleet. So more than likely it will be pulled.
Also, my first load delvers in Alsip, IL right off of the 294 at the cicero ave exit. Forgot the name of the place, something advertising.

Not to be critical or anything, but if you would only be an hour late after taking a 10hr break, then why not split your 10hr with an 8/2 split. After you take your 8 hours, you would go to your 99 (or 01...whatever the case may be), and then usually, the additional 2hrs would be taken at the 99/01. I've had to do that many times to get the load delivered on time. Anyway, just wondering why you would give up the load vs. getting the job done when you would be able to do so with an 8/2 split...and again, I mean no dis-respect or anything...just wondering.

Would you mind explaining how that 8/2 split works? I'm new to the industry and see folks mention it a lot on the forum!
