I thought if you did an 8/2 split. All you got back was what you had left on your 11 and 14 when you started the split. if so then it would of been pointless. I was 3 hours away from 99. had 30 mins left on 11 and hour left on 14.

If you had 2hrs consecutive line 1/2 anywhere in your day it would've reset your clocks as of the point when you went back on duty after that break. Then when you got another 2 at the cx you would reset clocks to when you finished your 8. If you didn't have a 2 hour break yesterday than an 8 wouldn't help you.

Ah...my bad. I should have realized that you probably ran most of your 11 as you probably would have gone all the way during your 11 to your 99 had you been close enough. The 8/2 works at times to your advantage...as when I had a load to Springfield, MO (not the caverns), stayed at the Waffle house about 1.5 miles away from the 99, no parking at the 99 and no street parking either. I snuck over to the 99 after a 6hr break able to keep the qualcomm on sleeper berth to finish out my 8 at the 99 as I had another delivery there in Springfield to where I was planning on 2hrs there to complete my 10. So made the delivery on time but the 99 kept me there for 6+ hours which sucked, so ended up completing a 10hr break instead of a 8/2 split...but the 8/2 split would have worked. Anyway, my apologies.

Hi everybody! Just a quick update. Finished day one of training here in Conley, GA. Just a boring day of paperwork, a drug test, and DOT physical. I got through those! We started with about 20 and finished the day with only 12 continuing tomorrow. Today was my first day at a trucking terminal and seeing all the trucks out there made me want to fast-forward until I get my own!

conley is a dud of a terminal. LoL. Wait till you get to west valley city. It's really a pretty nice facility. Give Stewart hell for me.

I never seen one, so I guess I'm easily impressed, lol. Stewart seems like a good guy, good sense of humor.

I'm learning a valuable lesson. Apparently trailers have ears. There I was complaining about my old rail trailer which someone decided needed the full complement of 100 gallons of reefer fuel to drop at a non-rail location (they're supposed to be filled only to half for non-rail use, guys) when it started plotting against me. So far it's thrown 4 different alarms and shut down on me a couple times. It was throwing low fuel for a few hours straight (it doesn't even have a fuel gauge with a sensor; visual check confirmed lots of fuel in the tank) and when it got tired of that it went with "unit failed to run for minimum amount of time" and "box temp out of range" together (complete with shutdown) and then after I got it running again "low oil pressure". It shut down for that too. Now I have it running constant on so at least if it craps out again while I'm awake I will hear it (this shouldn't even be possible, but this one lets me switch between cycle and continuous without going to a continuous temp). OTRM has me going to carrier after my 99, which cost me a 1000 mile load. Let's just hope it keeps the load cold until then.
