We are not at Werner HQ, we are at their school which is actually in Hastings, NE. I think we are about 2.5 hours away from Omaha at the school that Werner uses. It is at Central Community College and from what I have heard it is an excellent school. But we will only know in time.

And yes he does tend to tune out when the game is on. But I am very lucky....normally he HATES sports, but he does watch the Superbowl. He will watch the game every now and then when the Cowboys are playing and we are visiting with my parents or his. Both of our Dads are big Cowboy fans. Jeremiah actually likes basketball the most and is a huge Mavericks fan, but still he doesn't watch very many games. He said he just never really got into sports much.

Now he definitely tunes out when he is playing his video games. His biggest things are music, movies, and video games. He is a DJ and loves techno music, that is his 2nd love after me of course! He also likes anime. I can handle all that, especially the movie loving. I am not really into any of his video games except maybe guitar hero. I like the games you play on the pc....like Collapse!, Bejeweled, and my favorite Chuzzle!! Now that is some fun. LOL

 

On top of everything I was dead tired. I am still working my on-call staffing coordinator job and of course the night before school started it was crazy! I got calls all night long. I didn't get to bed until around midnight and I was back up at 4am! Luckily no driving today.

I had a bad night all around. Even before going to bed things were bad, I guess you could say I had a breakdown. I started crying and just couldn't stop. It has started up again a little bit this evening. I am not normally a very emotional person, but I am just so overwhelmed. I am still scared to death about driving on Thursday and I also miss Hamlet our dog. Yes, that is silly but nights are the worse because he normally always crawls up in bed with me. Being away from him is way harder than I thought, and I had already thought it would be tough!!!

Today was just basically orientaion. Our instructor told us that we don't have to transfer over our permits but in order to take the CDL test we will have to go take the general knowledge, pre-trip, airbrakes, and combos plus anyother endorsements we want to get. Then we take our skills test and that consists of a straightline back, 45 degree back, and a right turn around a barrell. No parallel parking!!!!

We also got a text book and we have chapters we have to read and then take CBT tests on the computer each week. We take the tests on our own time from any computer on campus or our laptop. We were given an atlas to keep and the book of regulations. Oh, and our class is only 18 people. Perfect size. There is one other married couple, and including that female and myself there are 5 women here. Not too bad out of 18.

In the morning we take our drug test first thing. Then the people who don't have permits have to go to the DMV but we have ours so no trip for us yet! In the afternoon we are going to get physicals. We have to get one done again even though we had one done in December.

I still have a horrible cough that I can not get rid of. And my instructor told me that I should hold off on taking my Robitussin because it has alcohol in it and I don't want any problems in the morning. So I have been suffering all day. I got in tonight and started coughing so bad that it caused me to throw up. Sorry to gross you out! But I sure did feel better after that.

Since we have our car, and pretty much nobody else does, Jeremiah offered to take some guys into town for a run to the store. He just now got back at 8:45pm. It is supposed to snow tonight. They are expecting a possible 1" of snow by morning. Today on the way to class the sidewalks were like ice rinks! We both nearly slipped on our bootys several times! The Nebraskans do some kind of shuffle like walk....don't know exactly how and it kind of scared me because I tried it and slid. I think I should have brought a pair of ice skates.

Well I am really dead tired and I am going to turn in early tonight. Oh the only last thing I have to say is that everyone is extremely nice. Our class has already gotten to know eachother and we are planning on a Texas Hold'em night (just for fun) one weekend, and there are rumors of a bar-b-que on graduation. Can't you just see us all out in the snow with a grill going?
