    Somebody got it.

By the way, there is no way to cover up hair testing, the thing they are searching for is not on the surface of the hair but inside the follicle which means you can't mask anything.

I've heard about this hair testing, From what I have read, it goes back a year. This topic sure has a bunch of people on edge. If I was in a position to worry about hair testing I suppose it would have me on edge also. I'm not here to side one way or another, hell back in the day I couldn't pass a walking test. 29 years later belonging to a 12 step program has allowed me to take any test given for drugs and alcohol, and not worry one bit about the outcome. My suggestion to anyone that is worried about the results is to wait 12-18 months before changing or starting a career in trucking. It will allow you to do the same as me, and it will allow me to not worry anytime I pass a big truck, get passed by one or have someone rearrange my hood with their trailer. I'm not preaching, but I am all for cleaning up and disposing of drivers and wannabe's that have no place in this industry behind the wheel of an 80,000 vehicle. Just sayin.

They only test back 90 days or so. Cost to much to go back farther. Cost alot to have hair tested in the first place.

AS for some of these guys coming into thucking, I agree with you.

My only concern with hair is, I keep my hair short, too short for a 90 day sample. I am curious if they will take it from some place else if my hair on my head is too short. I suppose I could grow it out a little to get hired on, but I would hate to lose my job later because they could not collect a sample. What do they do for bald guys?

Yes they can and will take samples from anywhere else on the body. Hair on your head grows approx 1/2 a month. If your bald then it will take about 3 months to get a maximum sample length.

Oh, I hope I don't have to do hair testing... I Have long hair and don't want any chopped areas when I put my hair up!
I'd guess most guys don't have that problem... :biggrin_25511:

My hair is short. I have about 20-30 chest hairs with peach fuzz on my legs. I guess they would have to go for my pits, hope I remember to put on deodorant that day :)
