Uses for Old Straps

    Thanks for the idea of piecing out for edge protection! I had a plastic one split, and I lost two made from something rubber slide off a drum and get lost. I haul a LOT of crates!

    There are some "large" truckers out there, maybe you could make them into stylish belts for them. (If you patent the idea, at least give me a little something.)

    It might have been but years ago I changed fuel tanks and peterbilt wanted over $4.00 a foot. I bought a can of 3mspray adhesive and 4" straps. Still there today and doing fine.

    I cut them up and use them as padding under my chains or even under good straps.

    Use then to make V-Boards and the rest I cut into 20" lengths, then put 2 pieces on top of each other and the wife runs a sewing machine down each side and I use those for edge protectors.

    We used to do that for the mexicans that wanted us to weld 2 tanks into 1.....straps were a little easier on the welds thanthe rubber that come on the bands
