    Waiting on my wia grant to start school. I've talk to recruiters at companies that will train you but, because I can't show employment for the past year they won't hire me. Work for a non cdl company for 20 years but, that's not good enough for them. Hope the grant comes thru because I really want to hit the road.

    Most trucking companies with CDL school of their own, will take a notorized letter signed by family or friends, that you were unemployed and doing odd jobs while looking for full time work, during that time period. Did you try Central Refrigerated or JBS Carriers? Did you try Swift? Fill out online apps & see what happens.
