I figured it to be like that.
I have watched the loads on USHIP and cannot see them being a profit at the cost of maintaining proper insurance and such. Never see any "good" loads like they get to pull.
U-Ship. Anyone ever do this?

I got on there for about an hour and the rates that I saw are absolutely ridiculous. How someone can haul anything for less than $1/mile is beyond me. With a truck averaging 4-6/mpg and fuel being around $4/gallon, that means at the best case scenario, you are spending $0.66/mile in fuel. Then you have to figure in what you are paying for wages, insurance, truck maintenance, etc.
I wish others the best of luck on finding good paying loads there but I just don't think it's quite possible. -
I doubt that Roy is as big a jerk in person as he is on TV, is he? That makes sense about the loads too. Did you see the one the other day with the Indy car? There is no way they send that car on anything less than Horseless Carriage or Reliable or someone like that. Or they transport it themselves. Or ABC pays them one Hades of a lot of money upfront to let Jared do it.
cowboy_tech Thanks this. -
Would you risk something to those people on that show?
Was Jared the one running without signs, authority, log book?
Then, while on tv violated the out of service and no DOT called him about it? -
No and they wouldn't either if they didn't have assurances from someone that if something goes wrong that it will be made right plus some.
