Thanks. Picked up a load from Schneider in Charlotte, NC, which was convenient, no dead head miles, and took it up here to Palmyra, PA. I delivered this afternoon, thinking about picking up in Carlisle, and taking it to CT, to pick up another load heading to Laredo. I like this program, this is fun.
Saw a paper load going to Pomona, but it's heavy 43k pounds
I'll skip that...
kimbosa Thanks this. -

I was talking to a lease driver on thursday night and he said he loved it about 99.5% which is good to hear I also talked to another driver on wednesday night and he was very happy to so this program seems to be liked by most every person who is on it. The problems that the driver did talk about was the specs on the truck. His truck was exactly like the one in the you have posted, but what confused me was that his truck didnt have a trailer brake handle. Is this common on the lease trucks? I know that they come with DD15, 10 speeds, and 2.64 rears but what other specs do these trucks have? For the listing price of 147k I thought the trucks would be better spec'd then that, because for that price I could get a peterbilt 389 and have everything in it. Does anyone on this thread own their own truck not leased through SFI?

Whag else could you want on the truck? What are you looking for exactly?
-
What I would be looking for is a better transmission, either a 13 or 18 speed so that I can pull a little more fuel mileage out of it. Also, a different rear end ratio. 2.64 is a very tall gear, I realize that SNI has over 15k trucks equipted with that gear ratio and they climb mountains, get good mpg etc. but I would be looking for more towards a 3.70 ratio. When it comes to inside why wouldn't I want a trailer brake handle? I thought that was a standard feature on all trucks but I guess I was wrong. More gauges would also be helpful so I can keep a better eye on what the truck is doing, and full lockers on both axles would be a must. Finally if I was to fork out that much money I would be looking to try to get back some of the money I put out on the truck in the first place. In five years the freightliner you paid 147k for will have over 500k miles on it and would be would about 25-30k whether as a Peterbilt would be worth 60-70k. Im sure i will catch flack for this but thats just what Id look for in a truck.

I'm happy with my Evo, the Predictive Cruise is Awesome!!

Then you better save your money and go to a peterbilt dealership and buy a truck outright.
