Man bisquick. I was really close to pulling the trigger on being a lease operator. My wife and I have been going over the numbers and I knew with the miles and loads I have been I could do good. But after reading what you had to go thru the last while I dont know now. I guess im going to sit back and watch for awhile to see if things improve

yeah there has been a few storms going around Nevada, I went through one the other day driving from Lovelock to Sparks, several of us trucks slowed to a crawl because of huge winds and dust storms reducing visibility, my empty trailer was rocking back and forth a lot and I got worried there on a couple gust my trailer would flip with my luck lol.

Anyway still sitting across the street from Walmart in San Bernandino, drove over and parked and did a little shopping to stock up on food and water, I need to save some money leaving those truck stops alone since my miles have been horrible and im struggling to get my bills paid right now. There was a qc message fleet wide about idling but you know what its over 90 degrees and my truck is in the sun, im going to freaking idle. Give me a load out and my idle will be lower...

I called and they said the freight is slow right now....wonder if it would make much difference if I was to drive to Mira Loma and park at the terminal, its about 30 miles from here.

Making money on the week you try to get home is a bear ... I've just come to the conclusion to write it off as a break even week at best ... If I make anything it's a plus. One of the reasons I stay out for 6-8 weeks, then take 8-10 days off ... I'll average about 3K miles a week for the weeks I'm out ... getting home not so much.

Nebraska ... heading to MI, then stacked to PA via KY.

Halfway through my 34, kicking back at the Days Inn in Chambersburg PA. Short first week with my mentor running the Northeast. 19/240 hours; 950 miles in three days of driving. I had heard that the backing situation in the Northeast could be tough, and we had a couple of nasty ones.

Let's see where we're going in the morning.

just dealt with an idiot driver, he parked in front of me and there was about 30 feet between him and myself, he comes yelling at my window asking if I could move so he could park closer to the curb, he then drives up the street and does a uturn then back to this other end and does another uturn and pulled into the same spot. The idiot was only maybe 5-10 inches from the curb on the back end and could of backed some and maneuvered it in better but all he did was cause himself more work and disturbing me while im relaxing. Neither was needed, guess he is scared to back up a few feet, was nothing in the way plus he had maybe 10 feet still in front of him. He could of also parked on the other side of the street where there was plenty of room for another truck.

after leaving rest area, i went thru a couple knarly thinderstorms. could hardly see thru rain. dropped down to 35 mph with flasher. luckily, so did everyone else. last storm i went thru, right steer was pushing up a good size wall of water. lucky i was going slow, don't need to water ski this rig ;). anyways, made it to the pilot off i-15ex48 in las vegas. got fueled and grabbed the last spot. still have 25 min left, so i would,ve drove back to petro by racetrack if this was full but got lucky again. be safe all

This is the reason that I always try and be home on a Monday. It gives me about 5 days to get some miles. I think that this was just some bad planning. What is bad, this is I think my 3rd week in the last 5 that I have been under 2K miles. Just like what happened today, someone messed up or else I would be home tomorrow night instead of very late Monday

Mentor took some hometime, so we both get a 34.
