    the tail wagging the dog. You can really feel it on bumpy roads. Trailer gets to bouncing and you can feel it lift the drives.

    unless its 53 ft, most flatbed axles are fixed. 48 tandem vs 48 spread, the spread gives a smoother ride, but the tandem is easier to back. 53 ft, usually the rear axle slides.

    I would tell you that you worked your truck a lot harder that way than balancing out the load. think about . empty weight 26000 lbs must have been a day cab.
