electrical fault ore mechanical fault?
-
Electrical. Mid 128 sid 6,5,4,2 fmi 12
-
bad power supply of ECM ore Voltage converter in ECM goes bad.
Usually wiring problem -
Wiring inside ECM? or from battery to ECM?
-
D12 engine got no battery power ECM. D12D gets all power from ECM relay in cab, actuated with VECU, D12C - with ignition wire actuates and ECM turns on relay in cab to get full power
-
Had same problem. Broughtbit to the dealer and they Replaced ECU cost me $2900. At the same time the alternator went bad. Dealer said one had nothing to do with the other. I still think their full of you know what.

the only problem of D12D ecm is 12V to 90V voltage converter. Usually cant be repared
-
Can the relay in the cab also go bad ! You'll must be able to replace the relay in the cab. If the voltage converter sitting on the main board you should be able replace it, There are electronic board repairers shops, I know of two of them in the US, that works and replace any component of any board doesn't matter what it is, Electronic parts are cheap just got to know what part is going bad and have it replaced,

Was wondering if you got it fixed and what was the problem? Thanks
