I was looking at my statements and I have been getting well under 2k miles a week too, I cant pay my bills at this rate. Been eating cups of noodles and cheap stuff just so I dont spend my money I need on a bill.
2 checks ago 4 bucks, last check $500, this coming check $211, I just cant keep this up much longer. I made far more on unemployment before coming to swift, my friend back home from high school found me on facebook the other night who is an operations manager can get me a hourly job in hazmat disposal and transportation but I need the money to get my hazmat too.
I heard Swift will pay for getting hazmat, does anyone know anything about it? I tried calling the DM's tonight but he told me to call monday through friday if I want info, lousy after hour DM's half the time. I will be glad to get Swift to pay for it and then give my notice, I can make a ton more working for the hour driving job with overtime after 40 hours and away from home up to 3 nights at a time. He said they only travel to Nevada and Arizona. He said as soon as I get my hazmat to come see him and he will start me at $18-20 a hour.
Good night from...

still no loads guess its bed for me, hopefully they dont end up sending me a pre plan for like 4am lol. My luck they will and I will be asleep and then wait all day tomorrow for another offer. I think I might just drive to the Fontana terminal tomorrow morning when I wake up if I dont see a preplan yet and see if I can talk to someone about getting me out of here. Dont want to be sitting here on the side of a road for a couple days, will be calling my DL monday for my layover pay too since I have been sitting for over 24 hours once again.

i think you need to give some serious thought about leaving swift

They are a good company. Do they make me mad at times heck yes. But they are still good tell your dm you need more miles. And go up the chain of command till someone does something for you. If you end up at the terminal manger and they don't do anything for you change terminals and continue the process
TruthisTreason Thanks this. -
Wolfy...They will repay you for the expense for the Hazmat endorsement. You pay first, save your receipts, then get repaid. There might be a maximum that they pay too. Weekend office help is minimal at best.

sitting at fontana terminal. went and talked to dispatch to see if i can deliver this costco load early. said nope. i have 3 stops tomorrow morning. one at 0500, 0630,and last one at 0800. hope they are fast unloading me lol. i did one in denver and they unloaded the whole trailer in a half hour, so hoping these stores are the same.

Russell Rd, Illinois. Went in for my Preloaded trailer early, only to be told that they were having issues with mt, so it became a live. I did not mind since I will be using the load board out of the house on Friday, and this is a live unload at Kroger, and the trailer is quite new, so I will get to keep it for awhile. Was going to try and get to Portage tonight, but just got tired of the Sunday traffic here in WI, and did not want to mess around with Chicago. Have until 1900 tomorrow to get 400 miles.
inkeper Thanks this. -
Hanging out at my brother's house in Moses Lake, WA doing a 34.
As far as I'm concerned I've delivered my last Walmart grocery load...for now. Gonna go back OTR tomorrow if I have to DH to Lewiston and sit on my DM's desk. -
Whats wrong Steve. You did not like Wal-Mart grocery loads

lol ... was heading to Portage, but saw plenty of parking at the Gary T/A ... figured a bird in the hand.
