On a more serious note, Sysco is probably a better than average employer for drivers that don't mind hard work and being at home for the most part at the end of the work day. Nothing wrong with that at all.
What I find odd however is someone who graduated with a Business Degree is using it to deliver canned soup and beans for a living.
I believe I know which 50% of the class he graduated from.

The money can be okay, I earned between 40-60k a year working for northdouglas/Sysco & Islands west. For the island that's not bad at all. But the main drawback I found was that running a tight schedule on inner city routes was physically and mentally draining. And eventually since you cannot control the surrounding drivers there will be accidents, collisions and problems.
Also as our ny friend here illustrates it attracts competitive dummies. The pace needs people who are competitive and aggressive to keep up, without realizing that the expectations will always exceed what your compensation is worth. Makes for an unpleasant work environment and management relations tend to be adversarial.
I always found myself envious of GFS drivers. Less orders per truck and more stuff per order. And pallet delivery. God I wanted to just drop a pre wrapped pallet of vegetables like they did.Prairie Boy Thanks this. -

think he's suffering from little man syndrome. I have respect for the guys/gals that can do that job, god forbid I wouldn't want to do it but with his mouth yappin maybe he needs to come up here and really learn to drive.
