Now I know that there is similar topic, but I have a different issue. Put 2 new dayton steers 2 months ago. Balanced twice, centramatics on them. New shocks, 3 axle alignment. Kingpins, bearings checked. everything ok. Now, truck still shakes between 40-60 mph. Shakes more when going downhill or uphill. machine shows perfect alignment but truck stills likes to go right. What can be the problem? Steering column and steering system adjustment and check? Polmax head mechanic told me that my rims might be bad... and he would like to check them first. Correct me, but when you do 3 axle alignment steering wheel should positioned with 0 degrees to dash? Mine is little to the right.

Most common thing would be your steers are not balanced properly, that could be impossible to do if like you said your rims could be bad.
The shop obviously didn't do a good job balancing them since your steering wheel was not properly aligned with tires. I had that happen to me once, put new steers on and my steering wheel was off to the right (the truck was driving straight but it was just annoying) and i took it back two more times till they got it right.

Your best bet would be to take it to different shop and see if your front wheels are properly balanced...

Had the same problem... started rumbling at 43 and stopped at 59 mph; turned out to be the tie rod... changed it out, replaced the steers, had alignment... issue solved. best of luck to ya, driver

Have you torqued the wheels?? It can cause violent shaking in the steering while braking especially if You haven't torqued on the wheels with drum brakes, seems you eliminated everything else, if your front wheels are put on with an air gun it can warp the hubs, no need to panic though, just loosen the nuts and retighten using a torque wrench

Have your front tires balanced at a different tire shop. Some people don't know how to balance tires or they have a bad wheel balancing machine.
I have had people screw up the wheel balancing on my car and my Pete. Going somewhere else to get it redone solved the shaking problem.

By the way, I use centrimatics also. But they couldn't compensate for for a bad balancing job.
    Otherwise, my centrimatics are great.

Next time I buy steer tires I think I am gonna put them on without balancing them and see how that works. And only balance if they need it.

Sometimes u can't balance it no matter what because of how the tire was manufactured, or even mounted.. heard all this on road dog radio and ii had an issue with perfectly balanced tires felt like I was on a bull. My truck was getting destroyed so I used the steers as trailer spares got some Yokohama's no issues

Something like that happen to my truck a while ago, I find out it was a tire on the trailer.Tire it was worn out on one side, anyway I replaced the tire and it was a new truck.

i went for a test ride with a mechanic for like an hour with a bobtail and we agreed that shaking is coming from a highway. Now Ive been told that they will realign my steering wheel with steers. But since im pulling a trailer shaking is noticeable... Especially when I am accelerating, going uphill, downhill and when stopping... Trailer im pulling is a wreck itsef (rental) When truck is parked mechanic noticed when I raise my rpms truck shakes a little (possible reasone - engine mount or clutch). I want to pinpoint the problem and solve it asap but it is not easy as I thought :(
