I feel fortunate that my trainer knew his stuff, answered any questions I had, knew what I was doing wrong when I was having issues, wasn't a know it all prick, was clean...... I don't care how long you've been driving if you can do all them things by all means.... Train.

 

Mostly cuz he lives near me. But my trainer also said MtownZ is an exception to the rule of thumb on experience.

That said, I doubt I'll ever train if the option comes up because: 1. I don't have the patience to teach anybody anything, and 2. I don't like sharing space.

Hats off to anyone who invites a student into their rig.

 

How does one become an exception of the rule of thumb?

 

Can we keep this on topic guys. It was his trainers opinion, I don't fancy myself anything special in terms of training. I'm just trying to do the best I can to help new students learn the ropes. Hopefully I don't hang them in the process.

 

By not being a cowboy or a supertrucker, is what I gathered. The term 'rule of thumb', by definition, refers to a broad generality that invites exceptions of many different stripes.

 

I agree I have met Mtown and from talking to him I agree he may be an exception I will say this much I have met a couple of the drivers that have 1 yr in and are training some are doing it for the money which is w=the wrong reason to do it just from talking to Mtownz I don,t think that is the reason he honestly believes he can do good and with the attitude he has I believe he will

 

I have met MtownZ also, I know he REALLY likes chicken strips from Papa John's late at night. So if you see him at a truck stop real late at night be a good guy and order 50 or so of them and have them sent to his truck. LMAO!
