sitting at the fontana terminal, well on the street due to lack of parking. I was here this afternoon and probably went right passed you dp, was doing my laundry and got a shower then went to mira loma looking for an empty, after a hour of walking around found nothing and called for help finding one, they sent me to 6 different places in Rialto, San Bernandino, Redlands etc and after 4 hours finally found a single empty at a target dc, then drive back to fontana and parked, found out from another driver they sent a few drivers to the same places. You would think they would figure out to stop sending drivers to dead leads. I cant take off until almost 6:30 in the morning and have to be 70 miles away in Van Nuys by 8am so we will see how late i am from traffic, i will flat out tell them its their fault and they can kiss my ###, the load has to be in Pueblo, CO at a target dc by 18:00 the next day, will see how close I get and if there is a window. Last time I went to that target the window was 4 hours later than they told me.

I would of drove to Van Nuys if there was parking over there tonight.

 

wolfy... yeah mira loma is unorganized as far as emties. they are spread out in the yard. hopefully when they are done with the construction, they can put them all in one place. depending when you got here, i was either sitting outside or in my truck. not much on tv

 

wolfy.. thats cutting it pretty close om p/u. you gonna hit a bit of traffic.i do a mac 22 and add another .5 too an hour just to cover yourself

 

got to my first 2 stops .5 hr early. second stop didn't hit the dock till .5 hr after appt time and had only 15 minutes to run the 8 miles to final. made it with 1 minute late. dl said shouldn't be a problem since i got held up.at 2nd stop. was trailer full of diapers going to costco

 

Rule of thumb ... as long as you are on time for the first stop, you can't get a service failure for any subsequent stops ... as long as proceed to each stop with out delay.

 

SO true the squeaky wheel get the oil if it needs it. let the dm know you need MILES.

 

If its a volvo it the CPM have them check it or you will be doing 5 mph before you know it mine started that and 1-2 weeks later it went. had to go to a dealer for it.

 

Home Sweet Home. Showed up to deliver today and they told me that it was a drop. All P&G loads are drop. Looked at the one mt there, and asked them if they did not mind just doing a live. She asked if I mind sitting around for about 1.5 hours and said nope, as long as I get to keep this new trailer. She said okay. Put me in a door 30 mins before my appt and had me mt 15 mins after appt time, and back home with this new trailer. Also, I could have bt out home, then I would have to run around looking for one on Friday. I just know that I will be picking up a live load.

 

still sitting at fontana terminal waiting for a load. got a preplan this morning but pick up was close to my 14, so i mac 9 putting pick up at 2130 tonite and they pulled the preplan. haven't recieved another one since. alot of drivers without loads here

I made it to the shipper at 8:03 so was close enough, got loaded fairly quickly and then I drove until I found a place to park and call my DL since my low fuel light was on yet my fuel route was for Vegas...he was like wtf, I said swift system is retarded, I asked him about freight and he said its bad and he spent the last 2 hours talking to drivers voicing their opinions. Anyway went back to Mira Loma for fuel since I also needed oil and needed bulbs because I found some lights on the trailer out, found one of the wires was frayed and shorting out so I spliced, diced and patched that sucker up and replaced bulbs. Got back on the road but lost a lot of time due to traffic. Made it to Paragonah, UT with 0 minutes left on my time, when I was parking it gave me the violation warning. Only was able to do 585 miles total today, have 598 left to destination tomorrow so just need to average 54mph in 11 hours to make it. I have to take the 70 but I never been on it, is it a slow route or should I be fine? My load is only 9k lbs and I was flying up the hills passing all the trucks today.
