Some posters say Wiley Sanders hires alcoholics, and down and outers.

Im not looking to work for a company that treats their drivers like crap or has a bad rep. I made a stupid one time decision almost 8 years ago and would appreciate it if some of you guys weren't so negative towards my post. I have cleaned up and am happy to say that ive been sober for those 8 years. Im just looking for some GOOD advice so I can start over and get back to doing what I love, thanks.

Did you go through a compliance program with an SAP? If not it will make getting hired more difficult.SinSityCowboy Thanks this.

Im also kind of In A crappy hiring area, Las Vegas to be exact. If you know of a company that will hire me with whats in my past and also hires out if vegas please let me know, thanks.

The company did not require that I go through such a class. There were no suggestions made to me and I didnt know that such a program existed until recently. Its not on my DAC though, it just states that I was in violation of company policy. Nothing on the next page under DUI, accidents or drug related charges either.

If it was 6 years ago there is no need to disclose it.

I kinda already tried that but It says that I worked for that specific company on my DAC and every employer keeps asking why I was terminated since theres nothing on my DAC about drugs, accidents or alcohol. I dont want to lie and falsify my apps, just trying to get back out there and make some good money.

I'm not going to look down on you.People make mistakes.Be a boring world if everyone was perfect. You failed a test 6 yrs ago,so what you learned from it.I think some companies will overlook it since it was that long ago.But before filling out any applications look at their requirement page. Some say no failed drug test ever.May I ask what type of business was this that you failed the test?If non trucking then there's a good chance it wont be on your dac and wont have to sAy anything.
