Anyone find a really good set of ear headsets that block out loud truck engine throbbing but save other frequencies that are useful to hear when driving??? these would be the electronic noise cancelling type mostly..but maybe not exclusively ...

Everyone who drags their poor old dogs along in the truck needs a set if you find 1 for their dog.

Blue parrot is pretty good, but messes up my hair:biggrin_25523: so it's sitting at the bottom of a drawer somewhere. But I may try the blue parrot ear piece instead of the "over the head one"

Might want to rethink that. Lots of states have laws about wearing headsets when operating vehicles. Know I got one in OK, a long time ago.

You must use a headset or earpiece if you're driving, it must be hands-free set, or else then you'll get a big ticket. I use one I got last yr. on Ebay, cost less than $18.00 and is noise-cancelling, works great from what people tell me on the phone. It is very comparable to the blue parrots, etc. that cost 80-160 bucks. I've used mine for about last 15 months, it still works great, going strong.

Blue Parrot B250 xt is about the best out there. Do not get that model in the + version. Poor volume and trouble connecting with lots of phones.

Forget the blue parrot,,, bulky, heavy, and unbalanced. Get the one called tiger, its marketed by several other names,, the double headset is illeagle but I lifted my hood and stood next to my engine running and my gf could not hear the engine running! the single one works well to but not as good as the double....

Get these and thank me later:

I did a lot of research and I found these to be the best for a trucker. I can hear everyone loud and clear and they can hear me. The noise cancelling works so well, once a train was blowing his horn next to me and the person I was talking to on the phone couldn't hear it. The battery life is great I hardly ever charge it.
