The marker lights on the headlights and the tail lights went out on my truck but still work when I use the blinker or brake pedal ect... So it should be a bad head/tail marker light relay?

Could be, check all your breakers, fuses. Could also be the switch itself.

Probably have a short in the clearance light circuit, the brake and turn lights are separate form the clearance lights.

The clearance lights work but the running lights don't.

The light on the switch doesn't light up, what does that mean?

Possibly a bad switch.Try a jumper wire from another hot (+) source to the supply wire on suspected switch.

Would the electrical line to the trailer have something to do with it? Some times the marker lights come on whenI'm hooked to a trailer but will go off when I disconnect.
