I saw many a load out of ND hauling skidloaders sideways with just straps over the tires. Execpt for Mayer truck the rolled by Melrose, he had chains.

I've noticed skid loaders, but they were all chained. Single chain or two going down each side grabbing as many skid loaders as possible.

there's got to be about 30 different ways to chain a front axle on a tractor, I know sometimes with brake lines and such it takes a bit of head scratching but even if all else fails you can take two chains and create a tire tiedown for each side. Here, you can get the idea despite my crude artwork. You just hook the two chains together and slip that over the top of the tire. Make the loop whatever size it needs to be so it fits tight about halfway between the top of the tire and the middle of the tire. fasten one end tight and bind the other. But like I said this is only if you absolutely cannot find a way to chain the axle or frame, etc... and I'll try to get some pics next time I chain wheels down like this to replace my artwork !

lol, actually I do have what's called essential tremors. using a touch pad on a laptop to draw doesn't help much either.

Chains never touch tires...that is the biggest no no. Unless you like buying tires.

I have gone over the top of the axle. Some tractors have a big enough opening right above the pivot point above the front axle. That works really well. For the rear, I use a shackle in the draw bar. If it's a bigger cab tractor with a loader, I will go through the loader mounts on each side also. No way that thing will move.
