without glasses i am at 20/60 but with glasses i am 20/40. do I need a waiver since I have to wear glasses to get to 20/40
when I got my medical card , they put on I need a vision waiver but thats cause for me its hard to read the eye chart in the middle of a lit hallway. though if I actually go to my optometrist its a more controlled environment
since with glasses I am within federal regulations I cant find if i need a waiver or not
do I need a waiver?

the requirement is that you have 20/40 vision. or better.
if you need glasses. then so be it.
my vision is worse then yours without my glasses.
nothing was ever said to me about a waiver. your license should also state corrective lenses. at least mine does. -
I just re-newed my Physical and they asked if I needed the glasses to drive, I said yes, That was all that was said, I read the chart I told them the colors of the spots, I was good to go.(on that part of the physical)

You do not need a waiver. I go to my eye doctor just before I get a physical and he fills out the section for vision. Those charts suck and are not accurate results for a person needing glasses. I have had vision problems since I was a teen ager, three cornea transplants, and have dealt with it ever since I started driving. Look at the regulation and it tells you your eye doctor can fill that section out.

OR, you could do like i did. and take a pic of the chart when no one is around.
can you say S T U D Y. next time you have to go in. LOL.
i'm at the age where i should be getting new prescriptions every year. but man. the frames i like are hard to find. and expensive. along with exams and lenses.
if i could just do my job and live my life without SOMETHING hitting my frames and knocking them crooked.
