Hello everyone. First a huge thank you to all of you that constantly offer advice to people here at Prime. I myself found these forums around Nov. 2010 when I was seeking a company to train me for the industry. I chose Prime Inc., and can add a big I'm glad I did. I was lucky, I received a great trainer. Followed up with a great inherited FM. I went lease right out of the gate (wasn't Pressured). I'm just too much of an entrepreneur to go company I guess. I will warn though the first 7 weeks out were tough to say the least. However after seeking advice and taking ace 2, I began to comprehend more and more about the business and the industry. First lesson learned.... Asking for advice=a great idea always.
Well here I am again, this time though I'm going to the boards that I so often review. Below I have added the meat of my OS with the personal info redacted. I'm doing this so anyone that has some spare time can review this with me. More sets of eyes are always better than just mine. What I'm looking for is things I may be missing/overlooking/neglecting, that could potentially save me more money. I am no gear head (though I am trying to learn)... so if anyone wants to help me see more of the light feel free to post. The OS i'll be posting is last weeks settlement. Not at all my best work. I'm more interested in the LTD/YTD info. My lease is up in either OCT or DEC Depending on which truck I sign up for. I'll follow up with that later in the post or in a new post after some OS advice. Again this is just if you have some time to help. I'm not looking for anyone to just do something for me, I'm seeking the how to and why, here. Feed a man a fish isn't my style- TEACH ME TO FISH Please!

Hopefully I've posted those in a way they can be read. I mostly read and thank on forums. This is my first post here on truckersreport though. Anyways thanks in advance!

You're doing ok. Your costs are distributed a bit differently than mine (I'm a solo, I don't train,) and your fuel costs are comparable. I'll bet you run more California than I do.

Do you get the fuel surcharge on all miles?

All loaded miles, yes. That's whether the customer pays a fuel surcharge in his contract or not. If they don't, you get the rate calculated against the fleet average from the previous week.

    Paradlddle Thanks this.

Unless something has changed, when I was there the fuel surcharge guarantee was based on all dispatched miles on a load, loaded and empty. If the customer paid surcharge was lower than what the weekly guarantee was, there would be another line item, FUSUGU, which is the additional surcharge Prime paid. Not sure how it works on the new contract.
