Anyone got an xbox or playstation in your truck? If so, do you have it connected to the Internet via a hotspot? And also can a truck really power a fridge, tv, xbox, laptop and whatever else? Just trying to figure out how I'm going to survive during these 34 hour resets on the road.

I am planning on taking my ps vita because it has Skype. And a browser. I have a buddy that plays his ps3 online with an AT&T phone hotspot with good results ie he can get on bf3 and play matches.

With a phone as a hotspot yes. Or a decent wifi at that. If you get net through a sat then no. The latency of 5sec or more makes it no fun at all!

It just amazes me the technology we have today, and how addicted some folks are to it.So many choices ! Guess I am getting old, but I just figured a student would have different questions than asking about playing electronic games.Different priorities, different life styles. Trucking ain't what it used to be. And that is a blessing.............. and a curse.

Yeah I know what you mean. But after as much research and studying I've been doing trying to learn the trade, I decided to have some fun with a laid back question.
But what do you do to keep yourself entertained during downtime jbatmick?

Read magazines and books, work on my truck, visit nearby attractions, surf the web for information on something that interests me,listen to NPR, watch TV, go to topless joints, and get my sleep and rest. Getting old @ 60.
