just had to leave a good company due to bad equipment = little or no miles. i've got it narrowed down to just a few with US express making it through the first round of cuts. in my short time on the road i've learned enough to know that every company has it's issues and it's almost a process of getting it down to which issues bother you the least.
from what i've been told 2500 miles a week staying out for 14 days. in reality, 2500 miles would be on the low end of what i'd like to get ( who wouldn't like more right?)
so just curious to see if ya'll are regularly getting more or less than that? that and just how much east coast ie: new york, new jersey, connecticut are ya'll doin?
if it helps i'm based just east of Austin, Tx.
take the leap?

What do you haul? Flat/reefer?
-
i've pulled reefer and dryvan, yet to do the flatbad thing. wouldn't mind flatbed just need the training on securing and tarping.

How much are you making a mile? That's the question. Its better to run 1900 with 40 cpm rather that 2500 at work 30 cpm. Not that great of an example. But you get where I'm coming from. Its all about the pay check at the end of the week.
teqntexas and luvtotruck Thank this. -
i get what your saying. last company was .38 + .02 quarterly safety/performance. on a good week i'd get 3,100 miles. BUT due to equipment issues it worked out more like 1,300 one week then 2,800 the next if i was lucky and could stay outa the shop. yeah it broke down that often. so 2,500 @ .40 straight would be an improvement.

I just changed jobs. But with my old flatbed company I was get around 1700 on average at .40. Plus tarp pay was a extra 100 dollars a week. So by the end of the week I was looking at 900-600 dollars. I'm not complaining but wanted to see if I could do better at another company. But good luck to you. So what make you think of usxpress? I hear they have good equipment, but have you read the threads on here about them?
