doesn't seem like anyones freight is worth a darn anymore. office asked me if i wanted to go to pick up at home. go to reno. and load for back home.

but i booked a load first thing this morning taking me from home to amarillo tx. only load i could find that paid anything to go somewhere. now just have to cross fingers i not sitting around there for the next load.

The freight prices don't make any sense right now. I just hauled a very cheap load to CA from WA. The good thing is the return pays more than double going back to WA. The economy is growing, we are supposed to have a driver shortage and they keep telling us with the new regulations there are not enough trucks to haul the freight. So why are the rates in the tank? I am glad I am just a company driver and my rate does not change per mile even when I haul cheap freight.

I think I have pretty much talked my self out of doing my own thing. Most places I have checked with wont even return a phone call to my inquiries. I think I rather buy some acreage in Eastern WA and retire. Living off the land and being away from most people seems to sound better every day to me.

Depends on what area you run!!! West coast pretty much sucks for rates unless you have a reefer.

So you decided to not buy your own truck??? I am 100% sure that JJ couldn't go back to being a company driver now lol so guess we are stuck as O/O s :biggrin_25525:

amarillo has a few things coming out next week. but oklahoma city and dallas aren't that far away.

gonna have to have a talk with sammons about the numbers next week. 25 % of the line haul isn't supposed to be 27% of total revenue.

and it better be becuase my last 3 trips weren't included for whatever reason. cuz i never saw the revenue go up when i came back out.
