Applied to Schneider, TMC, Maverick and Melton, my preference is to do either flatbed or tanker and these guys take newbies and provide training (Roehl might be my fifth, but the whole Sleep Apnea thing turns me off to them). Maverick and Melton called me and seemed interested (in regards to my previous posts about my MVR, I was totally upfront with them all). I called TMC and asked a recruiter if the DUI arrest would be a problem, he said to go ahead and submit the app as they would look at the totality of my driving record (plus a DUI is apparently only a disqualifier if within the last 5 years). But, who knows, we'll see...:biggrin_25525:

Not trying to put the buggy in front of the horse......at this stage. But kinda think long term...O/O (F/B) have more oppurtunity and are not generally limited to certain regions or dealing with $lumpers.

I'm interested to hear how it goes. I too applied to a few of the biggies a month or so ago, and all were ready to schedule me for orientation, but it's taken a bit to get everything in order. (Home, dogs, kids, no spouse, etc)

    Stay safe,
    gman

Are there mega companies that do not test for sleep apnea?

I always thought it was only if you had a high BMI or admitted to sleep problems or snoring

Most every company will do a sleep apnea test if you're overweight or have a large neck. The DOT physical doctor will decide.
