Trucking info

    I would like to know what year of a truck is alloud in california? I am considering grabbing a 2007 frightliner century/columbia. If i grab a 2007 year truck how long till I can run to california. I am considering grabbing a frightliner. I would lke to get the cascadia but people are saying its a crapcadia so if not sure y? I herd they break down alot and lots of eletrical problems. The reason i would like to get the 07 is because the DPF will not be included. I herd that the DPF is a really horrible thing by mechanics. it ruins the truck. I also herd that 08-10 year cascadias have alot of egr,turbo, and urea problems. I need help from you guys, anything will help please?

    I haven't looked into year/truck/california thing, but many of the '07's had a DPF.


    It sound like a bit of paranoia concerning the 08-10 year truck thing. I recomend that you take some time to understand a bit more about these newer trucks, especially if your planning on owning one, including the '07. Most of the really sucessful truck owners that I know have a good handle on how to keep their truck running and out of the shops themselves when it comes to the smaller issues. Here is some good info to get your brain wired in the right direction that is more than some barrage of the typical negative influence you get on these forums...

    cascadia dd15 does have a problem with engine harnesses but shops change and patch everything else before changing it out it seems. otherwise its a decent truck
