Hi everyone, I'm new out here and just started up my own company with my sister, she's driving and I'm booking her loads. We are looking at DAT so far but I've been hearing some crappy things about them, can someone tell me some good paying boards I could sign up with please. Thanks, all help appreciated.

I use OOIDA's member's edge and Internet Truckstop load boards. There are no 'good paying' load boards. If you want good rates, you need to negotiate them yourself. Just Say NO to cheap freight.

Getloaded,,,,they are so far ahead of the other boards in technology ,ease of use , and so many different ways to utilze searching that they make the other boards look like antiques... most here wont agree but only cuz they have never used it or cant figure simple out!

OH and also they are the fastest growing board !

Yes, load boards suck. You want to make real money? Go get you own customers and cut out the broker!!

OOIDA Member's Edge runs off the DAT database. Same loads from the same source as the bigger carriers paying for the more expensive products like DAT360 are getting. The interface is just not as feature-laden, and frankly with features that would be of limited value to a single truck carrier.

The big 3 loadboards have been mentioned (DAT, ITS, GetLoaded). They all offer a demo. Check them out and subscribe to one or two of them that you find easier to use. Each will have some unique strengths and weaknesses. Beware of add-on services, as they can inflate the subscription price substantially. There will be a lot of content redundancy across those three, but there will be some brokers and even individual loads that appear on one and not the others.

In addition to those three that take posts from any subscribed broker, many brokers also run their own load boards. Once you have a carrier agreement in place, you can usually view what they have to offer for no subscription charge.

I am subscribed to MembersEdge premium and ITS basic. The ME basic gets you credit ratings, however only on posting brokers. The ME premium add-on gets me lane rates at, in my opinion, a better value than ITS. Lane rates aren't any guarantee of a rate, but do give me a rough idea whether a lane is low, medium, or high. I never consider the actual values as those are usually skewed downward by contract rates. ITS upcharge on broker credit and rates is much higher than ME, so I haven't used it on there.

    osumike33 Thanks this.
