I just figured up my pay average so I figured I'd share so the new guys will have an idea.

All these numbers are Net, after taxes and insurance.

 

Those numbers sound good to me as Im only getting by with 350 after taxes right now as well.

 

Also, these checks still have the school payment of $40 coming out (I doubled mine)

 

Just to put it into perspective so it's not a suprise to you once you get out there .... it's not a 40 hour a week job. You generally are 60-70 hrs a week for that pay. If you really added total time up it is probably more. It's the life of OTR however, love it or hate it

 

Im ok with that. Hard work is not something that deters me. Im already working 70-80 hours a week now for the 350 I make. I just want to get into something I feel I would love doing and not doing a job just to survive. I have the mindset that this is my new career so Im going to listen, learn, and grow in this industry.

 

Honestly it's not hard work at all ... can be mind draining at times but its by no means hard work. Just a lot of long days with a portion of it you find later on that you really don't get compensated for. You just have to try and keep it into a larger picture mind set. Good Luck! Millis is a decent company to start with.
