While driving a straight truck I had to deliver to a tight dock, A beat up pick up with a trailer hooked to it parks next to the dock. He does this to make it difficult to deliver. ( he has issues with branch store ). When maneuvering in I touched his bumper with the black rubber stop on the back of my truck and left a black mark on his bumper. He called police and an accident report was filled out. (officer was not happy his time was being wasted over this, as it was so minor).
Is this going to be on my DAC?
Minor accident, will it go on my DAC?

DAC report is used by companies, so if the company you work/ed for uses DAC to report drivers than yes most likely they will put it on there at some point. (Not all companies report to DAC or utilize it even, matter of fact I read an article that majority of companies aren't relying on it as much as before) If there was an accident report done by an officer it's on your Driving Report through whatever state you are licensed. If its just one minor accident on your record its not going affect anything for majority of companies out there if thats your worry. If you have multiple than its a cause of concernthe40man Thanks this.

Prolly not.....you drive a straight truck so I doubt your boss uses DAC....or do you work for like Cooper or big R ? Then maybe......need more info.
DAC is not the DMV...... carriers pay money to subscribe so they can check drivers history. Quality operators whom treat their people fair have no need for this watchdog.
So again depends....and may I suggest avoiding bad situations like this? If you see again this then get the store manager, call your boss or unload on the street, anything but playing into a bad situation. This guys is the stores problem, not yours.

A place where I used to deliver; a woman was angry at the store manager so she parked a car where it was next to impossible to back in to the dock. She would leave the car there for days. Late one night the store employees noticed the parking brake wasn't set, so they disconnected the drive shaft, pushed the car into someones front yard on the grass, because it was a straight push & steering wasn't needed, then put the drive shaft back in. The people had the car towed & she had some explaining to do, but never parked in the way again.
rockee, Ghost Ryder and truckon Thank this. -
The store needs to post "no parking" signs around the dock. If the ### hole parks there again, have his truck towed.

That depends on your company and how nit picking they are.Maybe you can offer to pay for any damages if they leave it off your DAC I personally wouldn't put it on the dac if its that minor.Did you take pictures?I don't know how that works if an officer was involved if it now has to be reported to their insurance company or not. This guy you touched his bumper sounds like a real piece of work and probably will demand a whole new bumper.Or the money it would have costed for fun money.

Yes, it will if the company uses DAC and frankly it should...

Listen to him,a guy who makes a huge deal out of everything and wasn't even there.Sounds like nothing more then a scuff mark.
