Detention pay varies by customer. You may or may not get any. It also depends on the relationship you have with your dispatcher. If you are a problem child, he probably won't go out of his way to make sure you're taken care of. For the most part, I haven't had any issues, but when I have, I've gotten some kind of compensation for my troubles.

No student will get detention pay, just to clear up what chicken wing said. If the customer pays detention the trainer will get it but never the student.

some body is asking me how many trucks vs trailers they have?
-
so basically while training, if your sitting, your screwed. Guess its getting you used to things.

its better than it was shane. when i was training i missed a day and didnt get paid that week.
-
guess that is better. Not trying to make anything sound bad, just remembered that post from the other day and wanted to find out more.

Sitting with millis doesn't happen often. It's definitely not something to worry about, more often than not, being new you'll welcome a little down time.

ok, I was guess that when I told him. Yeah I heard you don't sit much unless its just bad weather or your bad with time management with them. thanks

You'll have bad days I sat at Dial in Edwardsville Il. 7 1/2 hrs get loaded and then on the other end.Walgreens, Windsor,Wi. Sat 7 1/2 hrs to get unloaded and in both ran out of my 14 hour clock. But ran to pontoon flying j on the load end (about a mile) same on the other end ran about a mile to the Madison TA. But was also paid detention on both ends. Sitting sucks, getting compensated for your down time definitely helps, got 11 hrs det.pay
